THE TUSHITA ASHRAM SACRED HEART HERMITAGE
Location
The Tushita Ashram Hermitage is located in Oruru Road in the Peria Valley, in Northland. It is about a 40 minute drive from Kaitaia or Kaitaia airport. The easiest ways to reach the Ashram to attend a retreat are:
Motor vehicle. Off road parking is provided
Airplane. Air New Zealand are stopping flights to Kaitaia from April 2015. They will still fly to Kerikeri, and there may be other providers offering flights to Kaitaia once Air New Zealand stop.
Bus. Intercity offer a regular bus service from Auckland to Taipa, which is only 20 minutes from the Tushita Ahsram Hermitage
Transport may be provided from Taipa and Kaitaia Airport from and to the Ashram. Please contact us if you are interested in this and to see if it may be available for your visit.
Accomodation
Basic, yet comfortable accommodation is provided within the Tushita Ashram for all retreat participants. Accommodation is shared between retreat participants.
Other Facilities
Modern shower, bathroom and toilet facilities are shared by participants.
Meals
All meals will be provided for you as part of your retreat experience. The meals are basic, but nutritious and carefully prepared by dedicated retreat staff during the length of your stay.
